Granville – Putnam County officials say that the 16 year old Spring Valley teen found dead this weekend died from multiple injuries. Diamond Bradley was reported missing last Tuesday, and her body was found Saturday in a ditch south of Granville. Putnam County Death Investigator Bob Cofoid said an autopsy was performed yesterday, and that a preliminary investigation indicates that Diamond Bradley died from multiple injuries. Cofoid says final results from the autopsy and toxicology are pending and may take 4 to 6 weeks to complete. Yesterday, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating the case as a homicide.
The investigation is continuing with multiple departments involved – including Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, Putnam, Bureau, and LaSalle County Sheriff’s Offices, Spring Valley Police Department and the Putnam County Death Investigators Office.
